I’ve been doing this graphic design thing for over 20 years, working on all kinds of brands. I’ve worked with coffee shops, churches, creative agencies, musical artists, chemical manufacturers, and other small businesses. I specialize in brand identity, illustration, iconography, and print/digital design.

My wife and I started this business in 2023 as Dbarney Graphics. At the beginning of 2026, we hit the refresh button and renamed the company Strong Bear Design Co. With a new name and fresh perspective, our aim is this: To craft the best brands we can, have fun in the process, and meet some rad people. I love design and I love helping people.

The name Strong Bear, comes from our last name Barney which means, “Strong as a Bear.” We’ve poured a lot of love into this, and we can’t wait to see the growth and good times this will bring for years to come.
